The High Council for Scientific Policy-Making is charged with the following responsibilities:
Determining on aims or purposes,
Main planning for educational research,
Checking the results and feedbacks to the activities made.
The members of the High Council, whom we have introduced in the present chapter, are all university professors and experienced authorities who possess profound knowledge for different areas of activities in the Institute. At regular intervals of mainly each quarter, the High Council holds a meeting by the invitation of the Head of the Institute to talk about current affairs, the results of the previous operations and the appropriate decisions to make for the future.
In addition to the above activities, the Head of the Institute makes use of good consultations of some advisors, who are experts in different domains of administration, training or education, researching, translation, publication, laws, and commercial campaigns and in financial management.
The faculty members of the Department for Education and Research after determining and deciding on an aim under the director of the department, start consulting with each other in the search of foreign and domestic sources with regard to their needs. Then the books, articles or other works are chosen according to the approved syllabus required for the studies at the level of higher education and then are made available to be put within the use of the Department for Translation and Editing.
Translated and edited texts and written materials, having been prepared, are controlled qualitatively by the faculty members to obtain final confirmation. Then they are entrusted to the Department of Publication to be printed and published.
In the Section for Translation and Editing, the job is usually done outside the Institute. The members of this department cooperate with the Institute on a non-centralized manner. On the other hand, the individuals in the department of publication are our full-time staff working inside the Institute.
The whole framework of the activities being performed in the Institute may be summarized as follows:
The council for Scientific Policy-Making under the supervision of the Head of the Institute defines the aims, planning, programming, etc, for education and researching,
Different departments take the responsibility of putting the plans into action and presenting the results as feedbacks of their activities within the use of the High Council of Policy-Making,
Finally, the whole output of investigation, research, and scientific activities are offered as educational books – which have been published by the parties by concluding contracts with the Institute,-and are presented at large reputable bookstores all over the country.
